This is Amelia Fitzpatrick @Ameliadee100 who is Se This is Amelia Fitzpatrick @Ameliadee100 who is Senior Biomedical Scientist & the Section Lead-Automated Haematology, who has worked @UHSFT for nearly two decades! The fave piece of kit she uses at work is the CellaVision DI-60 Digital Microscope for reviewing blood slides to help diagnose & monitor illness and disease…. Outside of work Amelia is a busy working mum of 2 children so ‘I don’t have much time for myself but I do love taking photos of my family & creating photobooks with the photos’ Amelia is currently attempting the Couch-to-5K challenge & a good session of Pilates to helps her de-stress.
Amelia’s zen & happy place is the great outdoors, where you may find her saying ‘Carpe Diem’ or ‘Seize the day’ for those of us who can’t speak Latin! At the same time she could be eating a picnic of Thai tapas, with her old Staffy called Ruby who may snuggle up on the picnic blanket with her! If she’s not out and about she may be reading 50 Shades of Grey or catching a Tarantino film… more specifically…. Pulp Fiction. Amelia, please may we come over for some Thai tapas & a browse through the family albums? Thanks for a peek behind the scenes!

This is the lovely, David Rew, a Consultant Genera This is the lovely, David Rew, a Consultant General Surgeon who has worked here @UHSFT since 1999. He did his higher surgical training in Wessex between 1991 and 1994, and worked as a Senior Lecturer in Surgery in Sir Peter Bell's Department in Leicester between 1994 and 1999.
David worked for the Defence Medical Services in the Gulf, Iraq and Afghanistan which was recognised in HM Queen's Birthday Honours List in 2015 🎖David first became interested in the neurophysiology of pattern recognition & the workings of the visual brain through undergraduate tutorials from Sir Colin Blakemore at Cambridge University in the 1970s, and during that time, computer programming involved a trip to the University Computer Centre to punch cards into the central IBM 360, with its massive 8Mb of memory..... 💻 Since 2009, David has been the conceptual lead for a small, self organising team in Southampton which has created and implemented the transformative UHS Lifelines data visualisation and clinical decision assistance system. David's work on these systems has been widely recognised outside UHS, with appointments which include a seat on the Strategic Advisory Team for Healthcare Technologies of the UK Engineering & Physical Sciences Research Council, and a Visiting Professorship at Southampton Solent University. Thank you for all your hard work helping us here @uhs.digital ! 😊👍🤛 #uhsinnovatingdigitalhealth #nhs #nhsmillion #techie #tech #digitaltech #digitalhealthcare #nhsx
This is Clara Mansbridge who is our Operational ma This is Clara Mansbridge who is our Operational manager to the Switchboard & Informatics Admin Team. Clara has worked here @UHSFT since 1998 and ‘I remember the day well…’ We wonder why? Must have been a good first day! 👍🤛Clara’s fave piece of digital technology that she uses here @uhsft is Medxnote our instant messaging system - she feels that is has changed the way they work in switchboard for the better, they use this communication method for internal incidents, escalations & they find it is so much quicker, more direct & easy to use… 📲☎️📞📱📲& on that note our switchboard answer on average 10,500 calls a month… phew. Home is Clara’s happy place where you may find her drinking Pepsi Max (allegedly keeping them in business….) Least likely hear her say “Pick up the phone!”… but you may hear her say “If in doubt leave it out…” Clara’s favourite food is eating anything straight from her garden – can we come over please? 🥬🥒🍅🥦🥕🍏🍎🍇🍓Your home and garden sound pretty, perfectly zen to us. Clara will tuck into a good crime or thriller novel especially when she’s on holiday. 🏖🏝⛱ Clara is a ….. Dog Person! 🐶🐶 Because “they are loyal, they never complain, don’t moan about anything and are always pleased to see you unless, you are jumping over somebody else’s back fence & then they show you their war faces!.... “ & if the weather is rubbish & she can’t go outside, you may find her watching a film that’s what they are there for, rainy days. 🎥 🍿 Thanks Clara! We can’t imagine answering those phones, ringing, devices bleeping!... #uhsinnovatingdigitalhealth #digitaltech #techie #digitalhealth #nhsx #nhs #nhsmillion #digitalhealthcare #globaldigitalexemplar #uhsft #happy #smile
This is the one & only, lovely & super brainy Liss This is the one & only, lovely & super brainy Lissie Rolf, who is a Junior GDE Project manager here @UHSFT. Lissie first started working here in 2016 where she worked in two “lovely laboratory teams, first as a biomedical support worker in Molecular Pathology & then as a Reproductive Science Associate in the Fertility Clinic.” Lissie then joined the Informatics Team in 2018. Lissie’s favourite piece of tech here @UHSFT happens to be her own project (get in 🤛) & is called Attend Anywhere which is a new system for Doctor Patient video consultations. 💻📲Lissie is also a fan of the macro cameras & slide scanner in Histopathology to create digital pathology images... she also thinks Outpatients Worklist is a brilliant addition to CHARTs. Lissie is a qualified science teacher, who loves to talk science & tell ‘bad’ chemistry jokes! In her spare time she enjoys learning about genomics & bioinformatics (I told you she was brainy.) You may spot Lissie going for a run 🏃‍♀️ , especially Park Run tourism, enjoying some jollof rice & plantain for a light lunch, while reading Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy or anything by Douglas Adams. Or if she’s watching something, it would be the film Space Jam… On a final note Lissie is the proud owner of a Blue Peter Badge... was it for the lovely Space Rocket 🚀 you made Lissie? 🥇🤗😎 🚀.... #uhsft #MondayMotivation #uhsinnovatingdigitalhealth #healthcaretechnology #digitaltech #techie #science #womeninscience #womenintech #digital #smile #happy #nhs #nhsmillion
